Oral communications
    Oral communications of
15 minutes  are divided into different scientific sessions. Participants whose abstract has been accepted by the organizing committee will have the opportunity to present their recent scientific results.

Poster session

To introduce the session, each participant will start with a poster presentation (2 minutes per poster).

Plenary Conferences
Three plenary conferences of 45 minutes (+15 minutes of questions) will be held by experienced bioacousticians. These conferences will provide a unique opportunity for students and young researchers to attend presentation of major works in their field and exchange with established researchers.

Gaëtan Richard

Research engineer - SOMME

“My research focuses on the use of passive acoustics to better understand the behavioral ecology of marine mammals and to monitor their interactions with human activities, as well as the potential impacts of these activities.”

Camille Desjonquères

Research Associate CNRS - LECA

“I am an ecoacoustician, and my research involves studying the sound emanating from ecosystems to understand and develop indicators of the state and functioning of these ecosystems. While my research primarily focuses on sounds transmitted in freshwater environments, I also investigate sounds transmitted in the air and substrate (vibrations) in terrestrial environments.”

Megan Wyman

Postdoctoral Reasearcher - University of Zürich

“My research focuses on sexual selection and vocal diversity, investigating anatomical mechanisms of vocal production. In my previous studies, I analyzed acoustic communication in North American Bison, studied vocal production in polygynous deer for insights into speciation, and explored the impact of hybridization on species discrimination. Currently, I am examining vocal changes related to changes in social rank in meerkats, using various methods such as behavioral observations and anatomical scans.”

Workshops and Round-tables

Art & Bioacoustics

Combining art and bioacoustics is an original way of raising awareness of the sounds that surround us. In this workshop, scientists and artists will share their creative projects, whether visual art, sound creations, live performances or a mix of all these. Their aim? To raise our awareness of the soundscape in which we live, and even to take us on a sonic journey. In this workshop, we'll discuss their creations and how they go about creating their work.

Speakers:
Noémie Brun (oreille indiscrète)
Adèle de baudouin (Museum National d'histoire naturelle)
François Joncour (Sonars)

On Wednesday 25 June, we are delighted to invite sound designer Mélia Roger (Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains) to present her audiovisual creation 'Tendre Phonocène’ throughout the day.
